History

The Solent Video Club was created over two decades ago by Eddie Lombardi and friends. It became the Southampton Video Camera Club (SVCC) in 2002 and has now morphed into Solent MovieMakers.

The aim of the club is for like-minded individuals to get together to produce films. Since 2012, the club has produced several full-length feature movies. We excel at special effects, good lighting, and well-produced sound, and we are happy to pass these skills on to anyone interested in what we do.

We are affiliated with the IAC — The Institute of Amateur Cinematographers.
